PASTORAL CARE

As a church we long to see everyone know the fullness of God's love in Jesus. One of the ways we aspire to demonstrate this is through our care for one another and our local community.

How Can We Help?

Our clergy, staff and pastoral teams are always willing to support you through the challenges of life.

Our dedicated pastoral team is here for you; providing friendly chats, prayer support, practical assistance and much more.

Whatever your need, please do get in touch with our Pastoral Care Coordinator, Sylvia Evans‑Pritchard.

Life Groups

For those who regularly attend St John's, we would encourage you to join a Life Group.

Life groups offer a place of belonging, where we can support each other, meeting regularly to socialise and share in bible study, prayer and worship.

To join a Life Group, or to find out more information, please email our Life Group Coordinator, Sylvia Evans‑Pritchard.

The Well

The Well is a Community Wellbeing Drop In Space, open on Mondays from 10:00 – 11:30am in the church centre. You are welcome to drop in to take a quick breather or stay for the whole time. We offer a friendly, safe space for people to come and connect, create and be refreshed..

If you’d like to know more or have any questions, please contact Sylvia Evans‑Pritchard.

Kintsugi Hope

Wellbeing Course

Kintsugi is the Japanese art form of mending broken pottery with golden glue. Rather than using clear glue to hide the cracks, the golden glue makes a feature of the cracks and the item can become more beautiful. By facing the cracks in our lives, instead of trying to hide them, we can discover treasure in our scars, beauty in our brokenness and hope for the future! In that way we can begin the journey to become the people God intends us to be.

Kintsugi Hope is a free 12 week course, offering a safe and supportive space for people to explore mental and emotional wellbeing. The course provides tools for managing issues such as disappointment, loss, anxiety, anger, perfectionism, shame and forgiveness.

We hope to run the course again in January 2025. If you are interested in attending or would like to know more, please email Sylvia Evans‑Pritchard.
